What to Do on Your Rest Day

Although Tignes and Val d’Isere are renowned for being one of the top ski resorts in Europe (particularly as the Espace Killy ski area is one of Europe’s highest resorts), not everyone wants to ski every day. In particular, as many of us haven’t been able to ski for a couple of years due to the global pandemic, it might end up being a bit of a shock to the system skiing for 6 or 7 days straight!

But not to worry as there are plenty of things to do in Tignes and Val d’Isere that will keep you entertained when you aren’t hitting the slopes on those much needed rest days…

Le Lagon Sports Centre

Located in Tignes le Lac, le Lagon is a water sports complex with a swimming pool, gym, fitness suite and wellness centre.

The swimming pool area has something for all ages with a fun pool and slides for kids, a paddling pool for toddlers, and various different fitness classes for adults including water polo and aqua jogging.

For those of you wanting to hit the gym during your ski holiday, the fitness suit has a weights room and fitness room with a mixture of cardio and weight machines. Wanting to push yourself that bit further? Sign up to one of the fitness classes such as circuit training and spinning to keep in shape throughout the week!

After your workout, you can relax in the wellness centre which has saunas, hammams, and jacuzzis.

PLUS, when you purchase a lift pass, you get FREE entry to the swimming pool!

See the Tignes website here for opening times and to book classes.
