Bookings are now open for Winter 2022-23 and we hope to be welcoming you to one of our beautiful chalets in Tignes les Brévières once the snow starts falling again!

Available from December 13th 2022 to 29^th April 2023 our chalets give you an ideal place to stay and enjoy Tignes’ long season. All our chalets will be located in the pretty village of Tignes les Brévières and all within walking distance of the pistes and ski lifts which connect you swiftly to the entirety of the Tignes and Val d’Isere ski area. Our chalets range from 6 to 40 beds, and from budget friendly to premium accommodation meaning we have a chalet for groups of all sizes and requirements.

Our chalets for next season are:

• Chalet Coeur des Brevieres a 40-bed chalet that can be either booked by the room or for sole occupancy, making it great for small or large groups.
• Chalet Belvedere is a cosy 13-bed chalet perfect for smaller groups with smaller budgets.
• Chalet Boubou Plus is a superb 7 bedroom chalet with an outdoor hot tub and sauna.
• Chalet Indah, a brand new 16 person chalet only opened in January 2022.
• Chalet Sophia, sleeping 17 and ideal for bigger groups who are looking for mid-range accommodation.
• Chalet Isabella, with its 8 bedrooms hot tub and sauna this chalet is great for groups.
• Chalet Rosko, sleeping 21 with an outdoor hot tub, sauna, and games room this 9 bedroom chalet is great for bigger groups.
• Chalet Panoramique, a rare find in the Alps, this 35 person chalet is the perfect place for those big groups looking for a chalet with plenty of room.
• Chalet Hattiers Apartment 1, sleeping 8 across 4 bedrooms this budget-friendly option is great for anyone looking for a catered chalet holiday for a great price.
• Chalet Hattiers Apartment 2, sleeping 6 across 3 bedrooms this budget-friendly option is great for anyone looking for a catered chalet holiday for a great price.
• Chalet Hattiers Longstay Accommodation, a Chardons fixture is our long stay accommodation, much loved by people looking for a prolonged stay in the alps.

Your Holiday Includes

In common with many businesses, we are not immune to the pressures of the Covid crisis, Brexit and the general economic climate and for this reason, we have had to make some minor changes to our service standards and some modest increases in prices to cover new costs that we are unable to absorb.  This is explained more fully below.

For Winter 2022-23, all of our chalets will be offered on a half-board catered basis. They all include breakfast every day with hot options on 5 mornings, afternoon tea on 6 days, and dinner with free-flowing French wine on 6 evenings per week. In our chalets, on 5 evenings you will be served a four-course dinner as well as canapés and prosecco on your first and last night, and the sixth meal of the week will be a two-course Savoyard dinner.  New to this season our chalets (apart from the Chalet Hattiers apartments and longstay accommodation) will also include a free bar made up of a selection of alcohol and soft drinks. For the various Hattiers Accommodations, all 6 evening meals will be a two-course dinner.

Cleaning of communal areas will be carried out every day.  A bedroom and bathroom clean, as well as a towel change, will be carried out on one day halfway through the week.

Changes to our prices and service

There are several reasons for next season’s modest price increases and the slight changes to our service offerings.

As a company, we have always endeavoured to keep prices competitive and service quality high, this year being no exception.  The current economic and political environment has meant that, having absorbed increased costs, disruption and very substantial changes to employment legislation over the last few seasons we have had no choice but to make some more noticeable changes this year to be able to continue providing chalet holidays at the same high standard.  There are several reasons.

1. We have experienced three years of COVID disruption in the form of various border closures, inconsistent application of testing and a whole winter with no lifts open at all.  We are still trading correctly and solvently, unlike many of our competitors who have disappeared, but our prices will now need to more accurately reflect the true cost of providing the service – we cannot continue to subsidise operations in the event of further disruption.
2. Brexit has increased staffing costs significantly.  We believe our predominantly UK staff are valued by our customers and are intrinsic to the atmosphere created in our chalets. However new rules regarding visas and similar red tape along with greatly increased payroll taxes and onerous bureaucratic obligations have made employing all staff far more expensive and not just those from the UK.  These new regulations also reduce the flexibility we can ask of the staff.  We have no choice but to pass these significant extra costs and lower flexibility onto our customers, they are too large for us to absorb.  In the absence of new initiatives between the UK and Europe regarding the movement of workers these costs are now, unfortunately, “baked in”, even for EU nationals who are, in addition, in very short supply.
3.  Most of our customers will be familiar with the general increase in costs for such things as electricity, gas, food and so on. These are similarly rising in France and, again after several years of disruption, we are unable to absorb them and have no choice but to pass them on in our pricing structure.

As well as a modest increase in prices to cover these new costs, there has also had to be a slight adaptation to our service offering in order to be compliant with French labour regulations.  Having taken feedback from our customers this year via surveys and questionnaires, we have streamlined some parts of the operation that were least valued and kept or improved the parts you told us you most valued.  In the main, you will not notice any major changes to the chalets, food or service offered by us or our staff.
