Refuge de la Martin
A medium length hike up to a mountain refuge above Les Brevieres

This hike should take in the region of 3 hours to complete. Starting from Les Brevieres, take the path over the bridge and to the right, as if to walk around the river. At the fork just before the path continues flat alongside the river, take the path which heads uphill. Continue to climb up this path, passing forest, rocky terain, and meadows.
You will see signposts to Refuge de la Martin, so keep heading up until you find this mountain hut with beautiful views over the mountains. During peak season, this hut it open to visitors for food and drink, or even a night stay. Otherwise, this is a great spot for a picnic. To head back, retrace your steps back down the way you came, back all the way to Tignes les Brevieres.
Worth knowing…
This area is home to herds of cows and sheep, so keep dogs on a leash at all times.
