A Guide to Ski Schools in Tignes

Evolution 2 is an award-winning ski and adventure school that in its 25-year history has become one of the most respected organisations in the French Alps. ESF  

A more traditional style of ski teaching, ESF offers private and group lessons and 5 or 6-day ski schools are available.  As one of the largest ski school in France, ESF offers a range of different lessons for all abilities including ski and snowboard lessons, but also freestyle, off-piste and even telemark skiing!

ESF winter sport disciplines:

  • Alpine Ski (piste skiing, freeride, off-piste and snow park freestyle)
  • Snowboard
  • Freestyle (the ESF instructor will teach you how to feel confident attempting tricks, grabs and use an airbag to perfect those aerial acrobatics)
  • Nordic Skiing activities (cross-country skiing, skating, snowshoeing and telemarking)
  • Off-piste
  • Assisted Skiing (uni ski, bi ski and sit down ski)

TDC (The Development Centre) offers private and group lessons and is renowned as one of the top ski schools in Tignes.

With a personal approach to teaching, TDC offers smaller group classes with a more specialised approach called ‘clinics’. A ‘clinic’ is a small group where coaches offer tailored coaching, with specific feedback for each group member throughout a 3-hour lesson.
