Skiing and Snowboarding Hotel in Tignes Chalet Chardons in France

Chalet Chardons was started by Mark Hayman, Nicky Watts and Chris Trow in 1998 to operate budget chalet ski and snowboard holidays to Tignes in France.

We currently operate Chalet Chardons Ski and Snowboard Hotel with around 50 beds and Chalet Hattiers Ski and Snowboard Chalet and Apartments with around 40 beds. In addition we have a number of smaller apartments we reserve ad-hoc depending on bookings and availability.

Our philosophy from the very start has been to offer those on a budget the best value ski and snowboard holidays available. We are not in the market of exclusive accommodation or executive 'boutique' chalets offering undeniably good accommodation and service but at prices often 5 times higher than ours. What we do offer our guests is the best available prices, bookable if necessary a year in advance, flexibility with booking dates and savings on ski-hire and lift passes. You'll find our accommodation to be surprisingly good for what you've paid. All our rooms in the Chardons are fully en-suite and Chalet Hattiers is excellently located a stone's throw from the pistes. Think of us as the 'EasyJet' of the ski industry and you won't go far wrong. For a family of four we could be as much as £1000 cheaper for a week's holiday compared to even 'mid-range' tour operators. Enough to buy your ski-passes, hire equipment and have a good meal out during the week.

Recently we have computerised and modernised our booking and email system as well as upgrading the telephone system to ensure your call is always answered no matter where we are. We attended the Ski Show in Olympia in the Autumn of 2010 and got a great reception for our prices and service from the several thousand people who we spoke to over the five days. In addition we have purchased Chalet Hattiers which will now be subject to extensive renovation during the summer of 2011.

Mark is the main Director of the company whilst Nicky deals with bookings and Chris does all the computers and technical stuff (well most of it - Mark is currently writing this website page!). In addition Pip runs the resort during the winter in her position of 'Resort Manager' and Kat, Mark's partner, deals with bookings and organising ski-hire, lift passes and accounts (and also looks after our two children).
