We think Chalet Chardons and Chalet Hattiers are great places to stay, but don’t just take our word for it. We'd like to thank our past guests who have taken the time to contact us after they returned home. Below are a few of those kind words... Accommodation just as described and excellent value for money. Pip, the manager, and her team of friendly staff provide a really warm welcome and overall, my stay was excellent. The breakfasts are good, the dinners are substantial and wholesome, and always plenty on offer. The place is kept very clean and always plenty of hot water. Overall, Chalet Chardons offers a great base for a holiday in Tignes.... and they're open for summer trips, too! I'd certainly go back again.
This small hotel/chalet was perfect for our trip. I went with a group of six friends and we had the best time EVER!! The accommodation was exactly what we needed, clean and comfortable with endless hot water.
Chalet Chardons was so affordable, as we were on a budget we could not find anywhere more reasonable that was catered. The meals were super; home cooked, large portions and delicious..
The staff were amazing. They were so warm, fun and friendly. Everything was well organised and they were always on hand to help. The location was perfect for us. We were worried that the village of Les Brevieres would be very "out in the sticks" and away from any atmosphere. However when we arrived it was so nice as the ski lifts were literally 400 yards away, there were a variety of restaurants and bars. The best bar was Chalet Chardons very own "Underground" Bar. perfect for Apres Ski.
Can't recommend Chalet Chardons highly enough.. We will be back next year :)
The first contact on arrival was the staff asking if they can help with our bags and showing us where to park for free. Bedrooms exactly as described, spotless en-suite and hot water never ran out (so called swish Chalets please note!). My children even ate the food '10/10' which was traditional, never left you remotely hungry and plenty of wine. Tea and coffee on tap all day. Free wi-fi. Bar with Sky Sports. And Espace Killy – heaven!

Hi, just a little thank you from us for our great stay at Chardons in December. We always ski this time of year and always bring the snow with us (2nd week December)! Just wanted to give a big thank you to everyone at the chalet for making my solo trip such an enjoyable one! Felt welcome and at home right from the start and ended up being one of the most enjoyable weeks I have had. An incredible place for anyone who wants superb value for money and enjoys a feeling of community and fun. The rooms are very basic but clean, the food is plentiful and delicious, the staff are warm, friendly and go out of their way to please. It is always a real pleasure to return to the chalet for "Happy Hour" and the diverse mix of other guests makes it possible to relax of an evening, or engage in a more energetic social life in the Underground bar. We love it here and truly feel part of the special Chardons family. We just got back after a wonderful few days stay at yours. Great staff, great food, great atmosphere, great place! This is now my third visit to Chalet Chardons. For a cheap, budget holiday only a stones throw from the piste you cannot go wrong. The staff treat you as if you were part of the family and will bend over backwards to help you. The food is of a very good quality and quantity especially after a hard day on the slope. I would recommend this place to anyone from solo traveller to large party groups. A definate winner.
It already seems a long time since our wonderful week in Tignes, staying at Chalet Chardons. We really enjoyed the week there, blessed by the weather, and by the service at the chalet. The rooms were fine, beds comfy and lots of hot water in the shower. Food was great. Above all the staff were all very friendly, cheerful and helpful. Please pass on our thanks to them all. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for having us (putting up with us) last week, we great fun on the slopes and we were all made-up with Chalet Chardons. All of the staff are extremely friendly and the service was fantastic. Add to this the quality of the breakfasts, afternoon tea and the evening meal; there is surely no better value ski chalet around!
Just a quick email to say how impressed I was with the staff at Chalet Hattiers. The team of Paulie, Mel, Janine and Aaron were fantastic. The food they produced was consistently excellent and we were always met with a friendly smile. They were always polite and extremely helpful, making us feel very much at home.
Many thanks to everyone for making our stay so comfortable. The room was ideal for a family of four (double and bunks) and the constant tea on tap was a godsend for my wife! Thanks to Jason for the packed lunches each day which saved us a fortune on the mountain. As for the food, compliments to the chef. Well presented, delicious and lots of it. Even our fussy kids enjoyed it. Thanks to Sam behind the bar for always having a pint ready at the end of the day's ski-ing. A special thank you to Sharon who kept an eye on our two boys in the room when my wife and I had to go to hospital in Bourg due to a fall!
The theme of this place can be summed up by the word "perfect". I could not have found a better or cheaper place to stay in the Alps, and everyone in my group was extremely impressed by just how great everything was. It felt more like home than hotel, and the best surprise was the incredible food (unlike most places, they don't cut corners on even the vegetarian dishes). The week I spent there was truly one of the best vacation experiences of my life, in no small part thanks to Chalet Chardons.
We all had an amazing time last week at Chalet Hattiers, it was the best skiing / accomodation / fun we have ever had and we were looked after brilliantly by wonderful hosts, the food was perfect.
My brother and I have just returned from our week-long stay at Chalet Hattiers and we would like to express our thanks for a superb week. Paul, Janine and Mel looked after us absolutely magnificently throughout the week. They are all very friendly, always smiling, most accommodating and they create a very pleasant atmosphere in which to relax. The food they provided was always punctual, plentiful, tasty, varied and perfect for the needs of the hungry skier. These guys are an absolute credit to your company.
I HIGHLY recommend Chalet Chardons, this place was absolutely great. I’ve never experienced such a positive vibe and atmosphere from a lodging resort and the food was amazing! The bar has cool live music throughout the week as well.

You certainly lived up to your web page promise of providing "fun, informal places to stay for groups, budget minded travellers and families watching their pennies who prefer to ski, snowboard, enjoy good company, home cooking, friendly staff and perhaps a few late night parties over pretentious chalets and overpriced ski hotels." The price made it possible, the food & company made it superb. Chef deserves special commendation!!
Just a quick e-mail to let you know we managed to get to Bourg just in time for our train, Many thanks for being ready to get us there in a car when the bus was delayed. We had a great time boarding again this year and it was great to see a lot of the old gang. Hope all of you that work hard making our hols great managed to get out on Sunday to enjoy the fresh snow and sunshine. Thanks again for a chilled and relaxed time.
Now returned from a lovely week in Tignes les Brevieres. I would just like to comment on how fantastic every member of staff was that we came into contact with during our week with you. Please pass on our praise.
Thanks to everyone at Chalet Chardons. For a chalet that offers economy prices, I think I’ve had the most personal service from any of my snow holidays! Everyone I spoke to noted how friendly the team were even when up to their necks in trying to sort breakfasts, passes, rooms and hangovers! Hopefully I’ll be back next season!
Just a word to say thanks for making our stay a brilliant one we all came home talking about how great our holiday had been and that we would stay with you again in the future.
Just had to drop a line to say what a wonderful time we had at Chalet Hattiers. A special thank you to Tytti and Bez for looking after us to well 'up the hill' they are a really special asset and made the place feel like a family. We both had a brilliant time and thought you had achieved a brilliant balance of quality and economy. We've done the posh hotel ski holiday and they are not a patch on the atmosphere you have achieved. We'll be back!
